My name is Jack Gooden and I have lived in the North West of the UK, up until recently when I moved to the wonderful city of Düsseldorf, Germany with my wife. My most recent jobs have been in education, where I endeavor to ignite that creative spark in children and instill the truth: that you are capable of almost anything, if you set your mind to it! I try to follow that advice myself, leading me down many rabbit holes in the pursuit of knowledge and skills in new interests. Who knows where your curiosity might lead? After all, "...satisfaction brought the cat back" and whilst the saying also goes "Jack of all trades, master of none", it also ends "but better than a master of one".

I have found that my unique repertoire of skills, knowledge and personal interests, that have evolved with me over time, have shaped me into someone capable of achieving great things. I strive to bring my ideas to life, and to draw out the best in myself and others.

As you may already have read, I have worked in education. From Primary schools, to SEMH schools. Teaching Primary, Secondary and English as a foreign language to summer camps here in Germany. Before this, I worked as a Graphic Designer, with my clients primarily being start-up companies that needed my help in building up their initial branding assets and identity. I injected new life into local businesses, and connected more established businesses with younger clients through targeted advertisements. This path was opened to me not long after I first left university with my Animation degree, having learnt industry-standard and software (and hardware) and expanding my creative knowledge and craft during my time there. Ultimately, this all originated from a passion for art born from talent and a quiet diligence in drawing all manner of things from early childhood to present day.

I have a number of projects on the go, picking up and setting them down as life takes me. You can find some of the more prominent ones featured on this website. They all stem from my own interests, which is why I find myself tackling similar topics in different mediums, and find myself drifting in and out of certain projects due to my current focuses (or, let's face it, obsessions!). The fundamentals of all of my projects will start with sketches, drawings, anything tangible that I can help to visualise my ideas. From there, well...who knows where curiosity might lead?
